When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, those who believed the good report entered the promised land while those who believed the evil report died in the wilderness. What can we learn from it?
October 16, 2017 – Genesis 19:24-25
Then the LORD rained on Sodom and on Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew on the ground.
– Genesis 19:24-25
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
God is not only merciful and loving, but also majestic and wrathful. His righteous disposition is not to be offended by man. When the people of Sodom lived in luxury, evil and corruption and their evils reached God’s eyes, God resolved to destroy this city, which is the same as us who live in the last days. If we blindly pursue to eat, drink and leisure activities, worship status and power, live in evil and corruption with no regret, God won’t show mercy to us but show His righteous and majestic disposition. Then our fate will be the same as the people of Sodom. Only by repenting and confessing before God can we win His mercy and tolerance.
