Is there any God’s word outside the Bible? Does the scroll recorded in the Book of Revelation refer to the Bible? I got the answer after a discussion.
March 22, 2018 – Matthew 20:16
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
– Matthew 20:16
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
This verse from The Parable of the Vineyard Workers contains God’s will and demands for us. God hopes we can all pursue the truth. The amount of time we have believed in God is no excuse for our not pursuing the truth. Maybe we think we haven’t believed in God for very long, and have fallen behind others at the starting point, but it cannot determine all. The last may be the first as long as we don’t forsake the truth and are always striving to do better.
Just assay, “The higher the object of your pursuit is, the more possible it will be for you to be perfected. The more you pursue the truth, the more the will work. The greater energy you have for pursuit, the more you will gain. The Holy Spirit perfects people based on their internal state. … The more you long to be perfected and obtained by God, the more the Holy Spirit will work within you. The more you do not seek, and the more negative and retreating you are, the more the Holy Spirit lacks opportunities to work. The Holy Spirit will gradually abandon you.”
From God’s words we can see God is righteous, and the truth is not biased. As long as we are willing to seek the truth and seek being perfected by God, even though we are new believers, the Holy Spirit will work in us, guiding us to understand more truth and giving us greater faith. Conversely, though we have believed in God for long, we do not seek, then the Holy Spirit will gradually abandon us. It can be seen that God does not care how long we’ve believed in God or the seniority, but cares whether we have a heart that is willing to pursue and practice the truth. Amen!
