The Lord Jesus performed a lot of miracles during His work, yet He always told people not to tell others. What’s God’s will in it?
God’s Word “Knowing God’s Work Today”
Now to know God’s work is mainly to know the end-time incarnated God, what his main ministry is and what exactly he comes to earth to do. Before, it was mentioned in my word: God comes to earth (in the end time) to set an exemplar and then leaves. How to set an exemplar? By speaking, by working and speaking everywhere. This is the work God will do in the end time. He only speaks so that the earth will become a world of word and everyone will receive supply through his word, receive inspiration through his word, and be opened in spirit and clear about the vision. In the end time God is incarnated and comes to earth mainly to speak. When came, he preached the of , accomplished the redemptive work of the cross, ended the Age of the Law, and abolished all the old things. When Jesus came, he ended the Age of the Law and brought . When the end-time incarnated God comes, he ends the Age of the Grace. He comes mainly to speak, and through the word, he perfects people, and through the word, he enlightens and inspires people and removes the place of the vague god in people’s heart. When Jesus came, he did not do this work. When he came, he performed many miracles, healed the sick and drove out demons, and did the redemptive work of the cross. So, people have the notion that God should be like that. This is because the work Jesus did when he came was not to remove the vague god’s image in people’s heart, but he came to be crucified, to heal the sick and drive out demons, and to preach the gospel of the kingdom of heaven. When God is incarnated in the end time, on the one hand he removes the place of the vague god in people’s notions and there is no longer the vague god’s image in people’s heart, and through his speaking and working practically, walking everywhere, and working among people very practically and normally, he lets people know his practicalness and removes the place of the vague god. On the other hand, through the word of the flesh, he makes people complete and accomplishes everything. This is the work God will accomplish in the end time.
You need to know:
1. God does not work supernaturally; do not have notions.
2. What work the incarnated God comes mainly to do this time, you have to be clear about.
When he comes this time, he does not heal the sick, drive out demons, perform miracles, preach the gospel of repentance, or redeem man. This is because Jesus has done that work and God does not repeat his work. Today God comes to end the Age of the Grace and abolish all the practices of the Age of the Grace. The practical God comes mainly to manifest his practicalness. When Jesus came, he spoke less and mainly performed miracles, performed signs and wonders, healed the sick and drove out demons, or spoke some prophecies to make people convinced, so that people saw that he was God and had no emotion, and in the end he accomplished the work of crucifixion. The God of today does not perform signs and wonders or heal the sick and drive out demons. The work Jesus did when he came represents part of God. God comes this time to do the work he ought to do in this stage, for God does not repeat his work and he is an ever-new and never-old God. So what you see today is only the word and work of the practical God.
God is incarnated in the end time mainly to speak, speaking clearly about all that people’s life needs, pointing out what they should enter into, revealing his deeds to them, and revealing his wisdom, almightiness, and wonderfulness to them. From spoken in various ways, people see God’s supremacy, see God’s greatness, and even more see God’s humbleness and hiddenness, seeing that God is supreme but he, being humble and hidden, can also become the least. He speaks some words directly in the position of the Spirit, some words directly in the position of man, and some words in the position of a third party. From this, it can be seen that the ways of God’s working are manifold, and it is all through the words that people see them. The work God does in the end time is normal and practical. So, this group of people in the end time undergo the greatest trial. Because of God’s normalness and practicalness, all people enter into the trial. People fall into God’s trial just because of God’s normalness and practicalness. In the age of Jesus, people had no notions and underwent no trial, because most of what Jesus did fit their notions. So people followed him and had no notions about him. People of today undergo the greatest trial. When these people are said to come out of the great tribulation, it refers to this tribulation.
Now God speaks to make perfect these people’s faith, love, suffering, and obedience. When God is incarnated in the end time, he speaks according to the substance of people’s nature, according to people’s actions and conduct, and according to what people should enter into at present, which is practical and normal. He does not speak about things of tomorrow or review things of yesterday, but just speaks about what people should enter into, practice, and understand today. If now there appears a man who can perform signs and wonders, drive out demons, heal the sick, and perform many miracles and he claims to be Jesus who has come, it is the counterfeit of an evil spirit and is done by an evil spirit in imitation of Jesus. Remember one point! God does not repeat his work. The stage of Jesus’ work has been accomplished, and God will never do that stage of work again. What God does simply does not fit man’s notions. For example, it was prophesied in the Old Testament that Messiah would come, but Jesus came. If another Messiah had come, it would have been wrong. Jesus has come once; if “Jesus” came again this time, it would be wrong. One age, one name, and each name is typical of its age. In people’s notions, God should always perform signs and wonders, should always heal the sick and drive out demons, and should always be like Jesus. This time God will by no means do so. If in the end time God still performed signs and wonders and drove out demons and healed the sick, doing exactly the same as Jesus did, then God’s work would be repeated, and Jesus’ work would be meaningless and worthless. So God does one stage of work in one age. Every time after God does a stage of work, evil spirits will imitate it immediately. After satan follows in the wake of God, God will work in another way. After God finishes a stage of work, evil spirits will imitate it. You should be clear about this. Why is the work God does today different from Jesus’ work? Why does God today not perform signs and wonders, drive out demons, or heal the sick? If the work Jesus did had been the same as that of the Age of the Law, could he have represented the God of the Age of the Grace? Could he have accomplished the work of crucifixion? If Jesus had entered the temple and kept the Sabbath as in the Age of the Law, no one would have persecuted him but all would have supported him. Then could he have been crucified? Could he have accomplished the redemptive work? If when God is incarnated in the end time, he still performed signs and wonders as Jesus did, what would be the meaning of that? Only through God doing another part of his work in the end time, which represents part of his management plan, can people’s knowledge of God be deepened and God’s management plan be accomplished.
In the end time God comes mainly to speak. He speaks in the position of the Spirit, in the position of man, and in the position of a third party, and he speaks in different ways, one way in one period of time, and through the ways of speaking, he changes people’s notions and removes the vague god’s image in people’s heart. God mainly does this work. Because people all think that God comes just to heal the sick and drive out demons, perform miracles, and give man material blessings, God does this stage of work of judgment and chastisement just to remove all these things in people’s notions so that they can know God’s practicalness and normalness, and to remove Jesus’ image in people’s heart so that God’s new image can occupy them. When God’s image becomes old within people, it becomes an idol. Jesus did that stage of work when he came, but he did not represent God’s everything. He performed some signs and wonders, spoke some words, and in the end was crucified. He represented part of God, he could not represent God’s all, and he did part of God’s work on God’s behalf, for God is too wonderful and great to be fathomed, and besides, God only does one part of his work in one age. The work God does in the present age is mainly to supply people with the word of life, to disclose the substance of their nature and disclose their corrupt disposition, and to remove their religious notions, feudal thoughts, old thoughts, and their knowledge and culture, all of which have to be disclosed by and be cleansed away. In the end time, God perfects people with the word, not with signs and wonders, and by speaking, he exposes, judges, chastises, and perfects people so that they can see his wisdom and loveliness and know his disposition in his word and see his deeds through his word. In the Age of the Law, Jehovah brought Moses out of Egypt by speaking, and he spoke some words to the people of Israel. At that time, God manifested part of his deeds. Because people were limited in their qualities and could not have a full knowledge in any way, God continued to speak and work. In the Age of the Grace, people saw another part of God’s deeds; Jesus could perform signs and wonders, heal the sick and drive out demons, be crucified, rise three days later, and appear to men in the flesh. They could only know to that extent. To what extent God reveals, to that extent people know. If God revealed no more, people would circumscribe God to that extent. So God continues to work, to let people deepen their knowledge and gradually know his substance. God perfects man with the word. Your corrupt disposition is disclosed by God’s word, and your religious notions are replaced by God’s reality. God is incarnated in the end time mainly to accomplish this word, “The Word becomes flesh, the Word comes into the flesh, and the Word appears in the flesh.” If you cannot have a clear knowledge in this aspect, you still cannot stand. In the end time God is mainly to accomplish the work of the Word appearing in the flesh, which is part of the work in God’s management plan. So you must know this clearly. No matter how God works, he does not allow people to circumscribe him. If God did not do this work in the end time, people’s knowledge would remain at a certain stage. You would only know that God could be crucified and could destroy Sodom, that Jesus could rise from the dead and appear to Peter…. But you could not say that God’s word can accomplish everything and can conquer man. Only through experiencing God’s word can you speak such knowledge. The more works of God you experience, the more thoroughly you will know God, and thus you will not circumscribe God within your notions. It is through experiencing God’s work that one knows God. This is the only right way to know God. Now many people do nothing else but wait to see signs and wonders and see when the great disasters and calamities will be poured down. Then do you believe in God or believe in the great disasters and calamities? When the great disasters and calamities are poured down, it will be too late to do anything. If God does not pour down the great disasters and calamities, is he not God? Do you believe in signs and wonders or believe in God Godself? When Jesus was mocked by others, he did not perform signs and wonders; then was he not God? Do you believe in signs and wonders or believe in God’s substance? People’s viewpoint of believing in God is not right! In the Age of the Law Jehovah spoke many words, and even now some of them have not been seen to be fulfilled; then can you say that Jehovah is not God?
Now you all should be clear that in the end time God will mainly accomplish the fact that “the Word becomes flesh.” By working on earth practically, he lets people know him, contact him, and see his practical deeds, and lets them see clearly that he can perform signs and wonders but sometimes he cannot, which depends on what age it is. From this you can see that it is not that God cannot perform signs and wonders, but that he varies his working with different works and different ages. Now in this stage of work, God does not perform signs and wonders. In the age of Jesus God performed some signs and wonders, because the work in that age was different. Today God does not do that work. Some people think that God cannot perform signs and wonders, or that he is not God since he does not perform signs and wonders. Isn’t this a fallacy? God can perform signs and wonders, but as the age of the work has been different, he does not do those works. As the ages are different and the stages of the work are different, the deeds God manifests are different. For people to believe in God is not to believe in signs and wonders or to believe in miracles but to believe in God’s practical work of the new age. Because of the ways of God’s working, people have some knowledge of God, and such knowledge brings forth their “belief” in God, which is the belief in God’s work and the belief in God’s deeds. In this stage of work God mainly speaks words. Do not wait to see signs and wonders. You cannot see any! This is because you were not born in the Age of the Grace. If you had been born in the Age of the Grace, you could have seen signs and wonders. You, born in the end time, can only see God’s practicalness and normalness. Do not expect to see the supernatural Jesus in the end time. You can only see the incarnated practical God, who looks exactly the same as a normal person. In each age God manifests his different deeds, and in one age he manifests part of his deeds. The work in each age represents part of God’s disposition and represents part of God’s deeds. As the ages in which God works are different, the deeds he manifests are different. In any case, his purpose is to cause people to know him more deeply and believe in him more solidly and truly. People believe in God because of all his deeds. God is so wonderful, so great and almighty, and unfathomable, so people believe in him. If you believe in God because he can perform signs and wonders and can heal the sick and drive out demons, then your viewpoint is not right. In that case, some will say, “Can’t evil spirits also do such things?” Then won’t God’s image be confused with satan’s image? Today people believe in God because of his many deeds and because of his many works and many ways of speaking. By speaking, God conquers and perfects people. People believe in God because of his many deeds, not because he can perform signs and wonders, and they know about him because they see his deeds. Only through knowing God’s practical deeds, how he works, what wise ways he uses, how he speaks, and how he perfects man, only through knowing these aspects, can you understand his practicalness and have some knowledge about his disposition. What he likes, what he loathes, and how he works on man, through knowing what God loathes and what he likes, you distinguish what are positive things and what are negative things, and through your knowing God, your life will grow. In a word, you have to know God’s work and have to set your viewpoint of believing in God right.
