Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
In these verses, the Lordtells us clearly that we must acknowledge the incarnate God before men, only then the heavenly Father will acknowledge our faith. For example, when the came to do His work, those priests, scribes, and Pharisees seemed quite reverent from the outside and knew much knowledge of the , but they didn’t acknowledge the incarnate Lord Jesus. Such kind of faith didn’t gain the approval of the heavenly Father. On the contrary, those ordinary people who saw the miracles did by the Lord Jesus acknowledged the name of the Lord Jesus, and finally gained the approval of God. Just like says, “ means that God’s Spirit becomes a flesh, that is, God becomes flesh; the work that He does in the flesh is the work of the Spirit, which is realized in the flesh, expressed by the flesh. No one except God’s flesh can fulfill the ministry of the incarnate God; that is, only God’s incarnate flesh, this normal humanity—and no one else—can express the divine work.” The incarnate God is the God in heaven, and He is the God who puts on a flesh to do His own work on earth. Therefore, accepting the incarnate Lord Jesus is accepting the heavenly father.
