January 6, 2018 – Matthew 6:12

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

– Matthew 6:12

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

This verse contains both God’s teaching and His requirement to us. “Forgive us our debts” is that the Lord Jesus teaches us to confess our sins before God in prayers and ask for His forgiveness. “As we forgive our debtors” tells us that the Lord Jesus hopes that we can forgive others as He forgives us.
