Why does God judge and chastise corrupt mankind when He works in the last days?

Bible Reference

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God….” (1Pe 4:17)

And I saw another angel fly in the middle of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Rev 14:6-7)

The answer from God’s word:

The work of the last days is to separate all according to their kind, to conclude the management plan of God, for the time is near and the day of God has come. God brings all who have entered His kingdom, that is, all those who have been loyal to Him to the end, into the age of God Himself. However, before the coming of the age of God Himself, the work that God desires to do is not to observe the deeds of man or to inquire about the lives of man, but to judge his rebellion, for God shall purify all those who come before His throne. All those who have followed the footsteps of God to this day are those who have come before the throne of God, hence all who accept the last of God’s work are those to be purified by God. In other words, all those who accept the last of God’s work are those who will be judged by God.”

The essence of God’s work of chastisement and judgment is to cleanse humanity, and it is for the day of final rest. Otherwise, the whole of humanity will not be able to follow their own kind or enter into rest. This work is humanity’s only path to enter into rest. Only God’s work of cleansing will cleanse humanity of their unrighteousness, and only His work of chastisement and judgment will bring to light those disobedient things among humanity, thereby separating those who can be saved from those who cannot, and those who will remain from those who will not. When His work ends, those people who remain will be cleansed and enjoy a more wonderful second human life upon the earth as they enter a higher realm of humanity; in other words, they will enter into humanity’s day of rest and live together with God. After those who cannot remain have undergone chastisement and judgment, their original forms will be entirely revealed; after this they will all be destroyed and, like Satan, will no longer be allowed to survive upon the earth. The humanity of the future will no longer contain any of this type of people; these people are not fit to enter the land of the ultimate rest, nor are they fit to enter the day of rest that God and man will share, for they are the targets of punishment and are the wicked; they are not righteous people.”

from “God and Man Will Enter Into Rest Together” in The Word Appears in the Flesh

In His final work of concluding the age, God’s disposition is one of chastisement and judgment, which reveals all that is unrighteous, and publicly judges all peoples, and perfects those who truly love Him. Only a disposition such as this can bring the age to an end. The last days have already arrived. All things will be classed according to kind, and will be divided into different categories based on their nature. This is the time in which God reveals the end and the destination of man. If man does not undergo chastisement and judgment, then there will be no way of revealing the disobedience and unrighteousness of man. Only through chastisement and judgment can the end of all things be revealed. Man only shows his true colors when he is chastised and judged. Evil shall return to evil, good shall return to good, and man shall be classified according to kind. Through chastisement and judgment, the end of all things shall be revealed, so that the evil shall be punished and the good shall be rewarded, and all people shall become subject under the dominion of God. All the work requires righteous chastisement and judgment to be achieved. Because man’s corruption has reached its peak and his disobedience has been too serious, only God’s righteous disposition, which is principally one of chastisement and judgment, and is revealed during the last days, can fully transform and complete man. Only this disposition can expose evil and thus severely punish all the unrighteous. … If, when the end of man is revealed during the last days, God still bestows upon man inexhaustible compassion and love, if He is still loving toward man, and He does not show man righteous judgment, but shows him tolerance, patience, and forgiveness, if He still pardons man no matter how serious sins he commits, without any righteous judgment, then would there ever be an end to all of God’s management? When would a disposition such as this be able to lead mankind into the right destination? Take, for example, a judge who is always loving, kindhearted and gentle. He loves people irrespective of the sins they have committed, and he is loving and tolerant of people whoever they are. Then when will he be able to reach a just verdict? During the last days, only righteous judgment can classify man and bring man into a new realm. In this way, the entire age is brought to an end through God’s righteous disposition of judgment and chastisement.”

Today God judges and chastises you and also condemns you. But you should know that He condemns you for the purpose that you will know yourself, that He condemns, curses, judges, and chastises you all for the purpose that you will know yourself, and that He does all these for the purpose that your disposition can be transformed and even more for the purpose that you will know your standing and see that everything He does is righteous and is done according to His disposition, according to the need of His work, and according to His plan for saving man, and see that He is the righteous God who loves and saves man and who judges and chastises man. If you only know that your status is low and that you are corrupt and disobedient, but do not know that God wants to reveal His salvation through the judgment and chastisement done upon you today, if you do not know these, you will have no way to experience, much less to go on. God has not come to strike down or to destroy, but to judge, curse, chastise, and save. Before the six-thousand-year management plan ends, that is, before the outcomes of all kinds of people are revealed, God works on earth only to save people, to make those who love Him complete and bring them under His dominion. … In people’s eyes, salvation is God’s love, but God’s love cannot be chastisement, judgment, or curse, and salvation must be with mercy, lovingkindness, and even more, words of comfort, and endless blessings bestowed by God. People all think that for God to save man, He is to move man with the blessings and grace God gives to man and make man give his whole heart to God, thereby saving man, that is, moving man is saving man. Such a salvation is a salvation based on terms. Only if God bestows a hundredfold to man will man become subject under God’s name and thus win honor and glory for God. This is not God’s will for all mankind. When God comes to do His work on earth, He does it truly to save corrupt mankind. Otherwise, He would never come personally to do this work. Before, He saved man by means of giving man all His mercy and lovingkindness, even to the point of giving His all to Satan in exchange for all mankind. Today it is different from before. Today when He saves you, it is the end time to divide people into their kinds, and He does not save you by means of mercy and lovingkindness but saves mankind more thoroughly by chastisement and judgment. So, all that you receive is chastisement and judgment and merciless smiting. But you should know that there is not the slightest punishment in such merciless smiting. No matter how stern My words are, what comes to you is only a few words devoid of human kindness in your eyes. No matter how great My anger is, what comes to you is still words of teaching, and I do not have any intention to hurt you nor have the intention to put you to death. Aren’t all these facts? You should know that now whether it is righteous judgment or merciless refinement and chastisement, it is for saving people, and that whether now God will divide people into their kinds or reveal all kinds of people, all His words and work are for saving those who genuinely love Him. Righteous judgment is for purifying people, merciless refinement is for purifying people, and stern words or chastenings are all for purifying and saving people. So, the means of salvation today are different from before. Today, righteous judgment becomes salvation to you and becomes the best tool to divide you into your kinds, and merciless chastisement becomes a great salvation to you. In the face of such chastisement and judgment, what do you have to say? Isn’t what you have been enjoying from beginning to end salvation? You have seen God’s incarnate flesh and also tasted His almightiness and wisdom, and even more experienced the many times of smitings and disciplines. But haven’t you also received exceedingly great grace? Aren’t your blessings greater than those of anyone else? Your grace is even more abundant than the wealth and honor Solomon enjoyed! You may think about this: If I had come with the intention of condemning and punishing you but not to save you, could your days have lasted for so long? Could you fleshly people of sin have lived until today? If My purpose were just to punish you, why should I be incarnated to carry out such a great project? If I were to punish you nobodies, wouldn’t I just need to speak a word? Would I need to condemn you purposely before destroying you? Do you still not believe this word of Mine? Can I save people only by means of mercy and lovingkindness? Or can I save people only by being crucified? Can’t My righteous disposition better cause people to become completely obedient? Can’t it better save people to the utmost?”
