December 28, 2017 – Matthew 5:29

And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell.

– Matthew 5:29

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

This verse is an admonishment from the Lord Jesus to us. It means that once we sin in actions or thoughts, we should confess promptly, and repent genuinely, rather than merely indulge ourselves, living in the cycle of sinning by day and confessing at night. If we don’t confess or repent but give free rein to the spread of sins, we will utterly be ruined for sure by these sins at last!
